A delicious Baked Beef Rice with Mozzarella recipe.
Lightly pan-sear the beef slices or roast beef slices until half-done, then set aside.
Prepare the sauce: 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/3 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1/3 tbsp ketchup, 1/3 tbsp Korean chili paste (gochujang), 1/3 tbsp sugar, 1/3 tbsp cornstarch, 30ml water, and a pinch of black pepper.
Dice the tomato and onion. Sauté in the leftover pan oil over low heat until soft and jammy. Add ground beef (optional) and stir-fry until fragrant. Add the rice (1 bowl) and the sauce, tossing everything together until the rice has absorbed all the sauce.
Transfer the fried rice to a baking dish as the base. Arrange the half-done beef slices evenly on top, then cover generously with mozzarella cheese. Bake in the oven at 195°C for 10–15 minutes, keeping an eye on the surface until golden and bubbly.
