A delicious Onion Braised Beef recipe.
Cut the beef into small cubes. Place in a wok with cold water, add cooking wine, scallion, and ginger. Bring to a boil, skim off the foam. Remove the beef and rinse with hot water (must be boiling water), then transfer to a pressure cooker.
Add the pre-made braising spice packet, salt, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce (I use two types of soy sauce for richer flavor), scallion, ginger, cooking wine, boiling water, and one whole large onion (no need to cut). Pressure cook for 30 minutes.

Serve directly. Can also be used later to braise with potatoes, or served over plain noodles — feel free to customize.
