A delicious Braised Grass Carp in Beer Sauce recipe.

Cut the grass carp into large pieces. Season with a pinch of salt, cooking wine, and black pepper. Mix well and marinate for 20 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan. Add the fish and pan-fry until one side is golden brown, then flip and fry the other side.


Prepare a clay pot. Line the bottom with potato slices, then add garlic slices, ginger slices, and dried chili peppers.


Add 2 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, black pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp sugar, half a bottle of beer, and half a bowl of water. Cover and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat, sprinkle scallion segments on top, and let it rest covered for 10 minutes.
