A delicious Braised Tofu with Beef and Baby Bok Choy recipe.

Heat oil in a wok, add scallion, garlic, and star anise. Stir-fry until fragrant, then add the beef. Pour in soy sauce to taste.

Add the baby bok choy — no need to blanch it first (leafy greens like bok choy don’t require blanching, unlike celery or garlic scapes). Once the bok choy releases its liquid, add the tofu. Thicken the sauce with a cornstarch slurry, season with salt, drizzle with sesame oil, and serve.
