Garlic Cumin Beef Bites
Ingredients
- 500 beef tenderloin
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Cut the beef into small cubes. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, 1 tbsp cumin powder, 1 tbsp fine chili powder, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, and half an egg white. Mix well and marinate for 20 minutes to let the flavors absorb.
- Heat oil to about 160°C (320°F) — when you see dense bubbles forming around a chopstick dipped in the oil, it's ready. Add the beef cubes and deep-fry over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Test with a chopstick — when it pierces through easily, remove and drain.
- In a clean wok, sauté minced garlic with oyster oil until fragrant. Add the fried beef cubes, then toss with 1 tbsp cumin powder, 1 tbsp whole cumin seeds, 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds, and 1 tbsp chili powder. Stir-fry until evenly coated.
