A delicious Cold-Pan Seared Salmon recipe.
Add a little olive oil to the pan. Place the salmon skin-side down in a cold pan, then turn to medium heat. Let the temperature rise gradually — you should hear a gentle sizzle. Cook for about 3–4 minutes until the fish releases naturally from the pan, then flip.
Once the fish releases again, flip it back to skin-side down. Add butter and garlic. Like searing a steak, baste the fish with the melted butter. Total cooking time is 8–10 minutes, or until the center temperature reaches 30–40°C, then remove from the pan.
