About Chopzen

Chopzen helps home cooks outside China cook real Chinese food with the ingredients and equipment they already have.

What Chopzen is

Chopzen publishes Chinese recipes, cooking techniques and ingredient knowledge in English, Spanish, French and German. Every recipe is adapted to a regular home kitchen: ordinary stovetops, common pots and pans, and ingredients you can actually find locally.

Where our recipes come from

Our starting points are identified original recipes and authoritative references. We keep the facts — ingredients, quantities and steps — and rewrite the text for clarity and safety in a home kitchen. Where a recipe is adapted from an external source, we record that source and its license internally and honor its terms.

How we use AI

AI helps us draft translations, organize editorial notes and find inconsistencies. Everything it helps produce passes editorial review and machine cross-review before publication. AI never certifies that a recipe was tested in a real kitchen — testing claims come from human test records.

Who runs Chopzen

Chopzen is an independent project run by the Chopzen team. You can reach us at support@chopzen.com.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong — an ingredient, a quantity, a translation — please tell us via the contact page. Documented corrections make the site better for every reader.
