Stir-Fried Beef with Garlic Scapes
Ingredients
- 200 beef
- 8 garlic scapes
- 1 ginger
- 3 garlic cloves
- 5 Thai chilies (xiaomila)
- 1/2 light soy sauce
- 1/2 oyster sauce
- to taste black pepper
- 1 cornstarch
- 1/2 dark soy sauce
- to taste salt
Instructions
- Slice the beef and add 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce, black pepper to taste, and 1 tbsp cornstarch. Mix well until evenly coated. Add 1 tbsp oil and marinate for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a wok. Add the beef and quickly stir-fry until it changes color, then remove and set aside. Add minced garlic, ginger, and Thai chilies to the wok. Sauté until fragrant. Add the garlic scapes and stir-fry until tender. Return the beef to the wok. Add 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1/2 tbsp chili powder, and a pinch of salt. Toss to combine and serve.
