Crispy Tofu
Ingredients
- 1 block soft tofu
- as needed chopped scallions
- half bowl cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- a few drops dark soy sauce
- half tbsp sugar
Instructions
- First, prepare the sauce: in a bowl, combine light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, 1 tbsp cornstarch, and half bowl of water. Mix well and set aside.
- Cut tofu into thick slices. Coat with cornstarch, then dip in beaten egg. Pan-fry until both sides are golden.
- Pour in the prepared sauce and simmer over low heat until the sauce thickens. Flip gently! Your crispy tofu is done.
- Time to eat!
