The Simplest Hamburger Bun Recipe (After Making 10,000!)
Ingredients
- 300 bread flour
- 150 milk
- 1 egg
- 30 sugar
- 30 butter
- 3 yeast
- 3 salt
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients except butter. Knead until a smooth dough forms, then add softened butter and continue kneading until the dough passes the windowpane test.
- Divide the dough into equal portions (about 60g each) and shape into round balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let proof until doubled in size, about 40-60 minutes depending on room temperature.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180C (350F) for 15-18 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing and assembling your burgers.
