  • 300 bread flour
  • 150 milk
  • 1 egg
  • 30 sugar
  • 30 butter
  • 3 yeast
  • 3 salt

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except butter. Knead until a smooth dough forms, then add softened butter and continue kneading until the dough passes the windowpane test.
  2. Divide the dough into equal portions (about 60g each) and shape into round balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and let proof until doubled in size, about 40-60 minutes depending on room temperature.
  4. Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C (350F) for 15-18 minutes until golden brown on top.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing and assembling your burgers.
