A delicious Korean Sweet & Savory Beef Sesame Udon recipe.
Make the sauce: Whisk all sauce ingredients together until smooth. Thin the sesame paste with a little water first so it doesnt clump.
Cook the noodles: Blanch udon in boiling water for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then drain and set aside.
Stir-fry the beef: Heat oil in a wok over high heat, quickly stir-fry the beef until just browned, then remove and set aside.
Sauté aromatics: In the same wok, sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant and softened.
Combine: Add the udon and beef back to the wok, pour in the sauce, and toss everything together.
Reduce the sauce: Stir-fry over high heat until the sauce thickens and evenly coats every strand of noodle — this is the key step.
Finish: Drizzle a little sesame oil and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top before serving.
