Sesame Crunch Bites – Crispy Chinese New Year Snack
Ingredients
- 220 cake flour
- 2 eggs
- 60 corn oil
- 60 powdered sugar
- 2 salt
- 4 baking powder
- to taste white sesame seeds
Instructions
- Add eggs, corn oil, powdered sugar, and salt into a mixing bowl
- Mix until well combined
- Sift in cake flour and baking powder
- Cut and fold until a dough forms
- Divide dough into 10g portions and roll into balls
- Roll each ball in white sesame seeds and reshape to ensure seeds stick
- Arrange on a baking sheet with space between each ball
- Preheat oven and bake at 170°C (340°F) for 25 minutes
- As temperature rises, the sesame balls develop beautiful cracks, like they are smiling
