Beef and Cheese Wrap

  • 200-400g thinly sliced beef (hot pot style)
  • 1 onion
  • as needed bell pepper
  • as needed mozzarella cheese
  • 1 piece butter
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  1. Use fresh thinly sliced beef (hot pot style). No need to rinse — quality beef doesn’t produce scum.
  2. Prep the onion and bell pepper. Add some button mushrooms if you like.
  3. Get the butter and cheese ready.
  4. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until it changes color.
  6. Add the onion and stir-fry, then season with 2 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, and black pepper to taste. I didn’t add extra salt — it’s flavorful enough.
  7. Add the bell pepper and stir-fry until slightly softened.
  8. I used spring pancake wraps — they’re soft and great after microwaving. If you prefer a crispy texture, use scallion pancake wraps and heat in an air fryer or oven.
  9. The best part of making it yourself is loading up the filling — every bite is satisfying.
  10. Tried one and it’s delicious! Freeze the rest and reheat in the microwave or air fryer while getting ready in the morning. So good!
