A delicious Shiitake Mushroom & Potato Ground Pork Rice Bowl — Better Than Takeout recipe.

Prepare all ingredients. Dice the shiitake mushrooms and potato. Cut the chili peppers into sections. This rice bowl is so satisfying — way better than takeout!

Heat oil in a wok. Sauté scallions and ginger until fragrant. Add the ground pork and stir-fry until it changes color. Add 1 tbsp cooking wine and stir. Then add the diced shiitake mushrooms and potato and stir-fry everything together.

Add 2 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp dark soy sauce, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, ½ tbsp each of salt and sugar, and pepper to taste. Stir-fry until evenly colored. Pour in a bowl of warm water and let it cook for a few minutes. Add the chili peppers, drizzle with cornstarch slurry (water + cornstarch), and stir until the sauce thickens.

Scoop a generous portion of steamed rice into a bowl and top with the shiitake mushroom and potato ground pork mixture. Mix well and enjoy — the rich savory sauce coats every grain of rice perfectly!
