| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Chinese yam (山药) | as needed |
| Egg | 1 as needed |
| Chicken breast | as needed |
| Onion | as needed (optional) |
| Salt | to taste |
| Baby cooking oil | as needed |

Prepare all ingredients: Chinese yam, egg, chicken breast, and onion.

Mince the chicken breast and onion. Grate or mash the Chinese yam. Beat the egg.

Combine the minced chicken, Chinese yam, beaten egg, and onion in a bowl. Season with salt and mix well. (Original recipe note: I added steamed Chinese yam and chopped leafy greens, mixed the cooking oil into the batter. It released a lot of water while pan-frying, but dried out after cooking — needs further improvement.)

Heat a pan with a little oil. Scoop the mixture into the pan and flatten into patties.

Pan-fry over medium-low heat until golden brown on both sides and cooked through.

Serve warm. These patties are soft and suitable for babies and toddlers.

Enjoy!
