A delicious Passion Fruit Sour Beef Soup recipe.

Toss the beef with salt, light soy sauce, five-spice powder, and cornstarch slurry. Marinate for 10 minutes.

Drizzle in a circle of light soy sauce to build flavor, then add a bowl of water and bring to a boil. The broth will come alive!

Add the marinated beef, use chopsticks to separate the pieces, and cook until the slices change color.

Toss in the cilantro, taste the broth, and season with salt and chicken powder. It’s ready to serve!

The broth is sour, spicy, and fresh. Apart from the beef being sliced a bit thick this time, it was pretty much perfect.

Halfway through the meal, inspiration struck — I used the leftover broth to cook a bowl of rice noodles. Amazing! Even better than the beef! (You’ll need to add more salt.)
