Pineapple Beef Stir-Fry (Two Flavors)
Ingredients
- pineapple
- beef
- oyster sauce
- light soy sauce
- chicken bouillon
- seven-spice powder
- black pepper powder
- small amount cornstarch
- cooking oil
- 3 sugar
- 3 vinegar
- 2 ketchup
- 3 water
- garlic
- ginger
- onion
- black pepper sauce
Instructions
- Cut the beef into small cubes. Add oyster sauce, light soy sauce, chicken bouillon, seven-spice powder, and black pepper — mix well. Then add a small amount of cornstarch and mix again. Finally, coat with a little cooking oil to seal in the marinade.
- Sear the beef cubes in a hot pan until about medium-rare (50% cooked). As soon as you see juices rising, transfer to a plate and set aside.
- Sweet & Sour Version: Mix sugar (3 tbsp), vinegar (3 tbsp), ketchup (2 tbsp), and water (3 tbsp) until combined. Bring the sauce to a boil in a pan, thicken with a little cornstarch slurry, then toss in the pineapple and beef cubes. Stir to coat and serve.
- Black Pepper Version: Heat oil in a wok, sauté minced garlic, ginger, and diced onion until fragrant. Add black pepper sauce and a splash of water, bring to a boil, then thicken with cornstarch slurry. Add the pineapple and beef cubes, toss well, and serve.
