An authentic Chinese breakfast — Beef and Cheese Wrap. Easy to make, ready in about 32m, serving 2. Step-by-step instructions with photos for home cooks.
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| thinly sliced beef (hot pot style) | 200-400g |
| onion | 1 as needed |
| bell pepper | as needed |
| mozzarella cheese | as needed |
| butter | 1 piece |
| light soy sauce | 2 tbsp |
| oyster sauce | 1 tbsp |
| black pepper | to taste |

Use fresh thinly sliced beef (hot pot style). No need to rinse — quality beef doesn’t produce scum.

Prep the onion and bell pepper. Add some button mushrooms if you like.

Get the butter and cheese ready.

Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.

Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until it changes color.

Add the onion and stir-fry, then season with 2 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, and black pepper to taste. I didn’t add extra salt — it’s flavorful enough.

Add the bell pepper and stir-fry until slightly softened.

I used spring pancake wraps — they’re soft and great after microwaving. If you prefer a crispy texture, use scallion pancake wraps and heat in an air fryer or oven.

The best part of making it yourself is loading up the filling — every bite is satisfying.

Tried one and it’s delicious! Freeze the rest and reheat in the microwave or air fryer while getting ready in the morning. So good!
