- 1/2 (diced) Carrot
- as needed (blanched) Broccoli
- as needed Scallions
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce, black pepper to taste, 1 tbsp cornstarch; mix well, then add 1 tbsp oil and marinate for 10 minutes Beef Marinade
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, a splash of water; stir until smooth Sauce
Instructions
- Mix 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, and a splash of water until smooth. Set aside.
- Dice the beef (you can also slice or cut into strips — smaller pieces absorb more flavor). Add 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce, and 1 tbsp cornstarch. Mix well, then drizzle in 1 tbsp oil and marinate for 10 minutes.
- Dice the carrot and potato. Heat a wok with cold oil — once hot, add the carrot and potato dice. Pan-fry until lightly golden, then remove and set aside.
- Again, heat the wok with cold oil. Toss in the scallions and stir until fragrant, then add the beef and stir-fry until it changes color.
- Return the carrot and potato to the wok. Pour in the prepared sauce and stir-fry until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
- Add the blanched broccoli and toss until everything is well combined. Serve immediately and enjoy!
- Here’s the finished dish — look at that glossy sauce!
