Maple-Style Marinated Grilled Beef
Ingredients
- 500g beef
- 1 onion
- to taste bird’s eye chili
- to taste cilantro
- to taste cumin powder
- to taste light soy sauce
- to taste salt
- to taste sugar
- to taste oyster sauce
- to taste chicken bouillon powder
- to taste cooking wine
- to taste five-spice powder
- to taste black pepper powder
- to taste white pepper powder
- to taste Sichuan peppercorn oil
- to taste white sesame seeds
Instructions
- Slice the beef thinly (tip: freeze fresh beef until semi-firm for easier thin slicing). Cut the onion into thin strips and chop the cilantro.
- Place the beef (thawed), onion, and cilantro in a large bowl. Add all the seasonings listed above, drizzle with cooking oil, and mix well. You can then either grill it over fire or stir-fry it in a pan — both work great.
