Sour Mustard Fish (Suan Cai Yu)
Ingredients
- to taste sour mustard greens (suancai)
- to taste snakehead fish fillets
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- to taste starch
- to taste cooking oil
- to taste scallions
- to taste ginger
- to taste garlic
- to taste dried chili
- to taste Sichuan peppercorns
- to taste white sesame seeds
Instructions
- Marinate fish fillets with salt, pepper, cooking oil, and starch. Sauté scallions, ginger, and garlic until fragrant. Add sour mustard greens and stir-fry, then add water and enoki mushrooms.
- Cook until done, then remove the vegetables. Cook the fish fillets in the broth until done. Transfer to a bowl and top with dried chilies, white sesame seeds, and Sichuan peppercorns.
- When stir-frying, you can add Sichuan peppercorns for extra flavor.
