Button Mushrooms Stuffed with Shrimp Paste
Ingredients
- about a dozen (adjust to serving size) button mushrooms
- 1 bag shrimp paste
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- ½ tbsp dark soy sauce
- a dash oyster sauce
- a pinch sugar
Instructions
- Remove the stems from the button mushrooms and wash them. Squeeze shrimp paste into the mushroom caps.
- Mix light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar with some water to make the sauce. (Add a little salt if you prefer it saltier.)
- Place the mushrooms shrimp-side down in the pan and pan-fry.
- Flip and fry the other side.
- Pan-fry until both sides are golden brown.
- Pour in the sauce.
- Cover with a lid and braise for about 3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped scallions and white sesame seeds.
- Plate and serve.
