Pan-Fried Tofu with Egg Coating
Ingredients
- 1 block firm tofu
- 1 egg
- as needed starch
- half tsp salt
- half tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 cloves minced garlic
Instructions
- Prepare the sauce: in a bowl, combine 1 tbsp minced garlic, 2 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, half tsp salt, half tsp sugar, half tbsp starch, and 3 tbsp water. Mix well and set aside.
- Prepare ingredients: cut tofu into pieces, have 1 egg and starch ready.
- Coat tofu first with a layer of starch.
- Then coat with a layer of beaten egg.
- Place tofu in a flat pan and pan-fry until both sides are golden.
- Pour in the prepared sauce and stir-fry briefly.
- Add cilantro and scallion segments. Serve!
